Mike was the co-founding practitioner and is now chair of Together for Peace (T4P), a Leeds-based charity that for over twenty years has been seeking to promote peacebuilding in the city through its community relations and community development work.

Working collaboratively and in partnership is fundamental to T4P’s DNA – recent work includes the Leeds Poverty Truth Commission (see Andrew Grinnell’s bio) and Climate Action Leeds, a five-year, Lottery-funded coalition working towards a zero-carbon, environmentally-friendly and socially-just city.

A former solicitor, Mike has served on several charity boards, local and national, and is a founding trustee of an arts and community space, Left Bank Leeds. He is a seasoned practitioner and trainer in the Art of Hosting Conversations that Matter. His recent PhD thesis explores how cities may be the soil in which a renewed and radically inclusive democracy can flourish.
