On Wednesday 26th November, we held a Council of Reference meeting with representatives from our partner organisations to reflect on our achievements in the past year and shape the strategic direction of the Alliance moving forward.

LLA CEO Simon Flowers OBE shared highlights from the latest CEO report, giving colleagues a clear update on our progress since the last meeting.

Jane Walne, COO for Leeds City Council, Active Leeds & Culture, presented an overview of the Leeds 400 initiative, exploring the opportunity for the city, organisations, communities, visitors and our people to play a part in celebrating 400 years of Leeds being a Royal Chartered City.

Sally-Anne Greenfield, Founder/Director of The Greenfield Connection, presented a thought-provoking discussion, asking colleagues: “What does the LLA mean to you?” and “If you had £100k to develop the LLA, how would you use it?” These questions sparked creative ideas and reflections on the benefits of working within the LLA.

In her role as Special Advisor, Sally-Anne is also exploring innovative ways to increase our income and support our ongoing work.

These discussions reinforced our shared mission and highlighted exciting possibilities for growth and impact across Leeds.
