Gareth King is Deputy Headteacher at an 11-16 school in North East Leeds, with strategic responsibility for areas of Personal Development, Coaching, SEN, attendance and safeguarding.

Gareth led the initial implementation and development of Coaching – a vertically structured pastoral model centred around small coaching circles. This was followed by the introduction of Life Learning – a vertical enrichment programme with dedicated timetabled weekly sessions.

Gareth’s work is focused on promoting relationship building across the school community and is driven by a commitment to inclusive practice.
